Webb raced past the defense and no one was within 10 yards of him as he hauled in Webb's pass and raced the final 45 yards into the end zone. Jacob Godek's 100th-consecutive PAT made it 31-27 with 4:12 to play. The Buccaneers quickly marched downfield, reaching The Citadel 6 before Trey Mitchell threw three incomplete passes and Nate Adkins was stopped at the 1 after a 5-yard reception.

Phil Barrett's tackle with 1:34 to play gave the Bulldogs (6-4, 4-2 Southern Conference) their fourth-straight win. ETSU (2-7, 0-6) took a 27-17 lead on Mitchell's third touchdown pass less than a minute into the fourth quarter. The Bulldogs responded with a 10-play, 65-yard drive that chewed up almost 10 minutes.   Remus Bulmer fought his way into the end zone twice and Brian Murdaugh passed to Raleigh Webb for another score to give The Citadel enough cushion to hold off Charleston Southern 22-13 on Saturday to post its second win of the season. The Citadel's other victory was a 27-24 overtime win over Georgia Tech last week. The Bulldogs beat Georgia Tech for the first time in 11 tries and posted the first victory against an ACC team in 23 attempts. Charleston Southern (0-4) drove to the Bulldogs' 1 in the closing minutes but could not punch it in after having a first down at the 1.

After Bulmer's touchdown run for the first score in the second quarter, Alex Usry booted a 35-yard field goal and added a 48-yarder early in the third to close to 7-6. The Bulldogs answered when Murdaugh nailed Webb on a 54-yard scoring toss with 6:03 left in the third. Bulmer bulled in from the 1 to go up 20-6 late in that quarter. The Bulldogs (2-2) added a safety for the final score when the Buccaneers fumbled in their own end zone after Matt Campbell boomed a 62-yard punt that was downed at Charleston Southern's 1. - AP College Football

Jacob Godek kicked a 37-yard field goal in overtime, quarterback Brandon Rainey ran for one touchdown and passed for another, and FCS The Citadel stunned Georgia Tech with a 27-24 upset victory on Saturday. Georgia Tech's defense allowed 320 yards rushing against the triple-option, a scheme it faced in practice the last 11 years under former coach Paul Johnson, but the Yellow Jackets (1-2) still figured to have an enough talent to overcome The Citadel.

Instead, the Bulldogs (1-2) never trailed despite having lost at home to Towson and on the road to Elon. Beating the Jackets gave The Citadel its first win over an FBS opponent since 2015 against South Carolina. Before that, the Bulldogs had not won against the higher classification since knocking off Arkansas and Army in 1992. Momentum turned toward in the third quarter when Rainey broke a 14-all tie with a 22-yard TD run, and strong safety Sean-Thomas Faulkner stopped Georgia Tech's Jordan Mason for no gain on the ensuing drive. Rainey limped off the field early in the fourth and was replaced by Evan Schickel before Godek split the uprights to make it 24-21 with 1:51 to go. Brenton King sent the game to overtime with a 34-yard field goal at the end of regulation, but he missed wide left from 46 yards to end the first possession of the extra period. - AP College Football
